UnderbellyGlasgow. Edition 4
THE FEEDBACK FROM THE LAST EDITION WAS GREAT.
The first part of the Stewart Boyd story had great feedback, but it was also a difficult one to write as was part two.
There are so many unsolved cases involved that we had to leave a lot of information out, but we will be adding to the story with further profiles on other members in the crew and profiles of those who lost their lives.
Separating the myths from the facts was almost impossible, but we done what we could and spoke too many people who helped us get to as near the truth as was possible.
To them we say thank you.
The Youth Crime Approve School article had good feedback, a lot of those who e-mailed us commented on how similar it was to their lives while growing up in Glasgow in the 1970's and 80's.
Actually a few wrote in saying the piece could have been written by them as it was so similar to their own experiences.
This editions prison story is an eye opener and shows the reality of what a long-term prison sentence can do to the mind. The prison story also shows Underbelly Glasgow’s stance against sex offenders and killers of women and children. We will never give these dregs of society the publicity they thrive on unless it's to show the public how hated by society these animals are. The story teller himself warns these monsters are incurable.
The drug story writer has taken a break from his serialisation to tell the tale of old friends past. But will be back on track next edition, he has personal reasons for this editions story. I believe anyone reading it will be touched by the loss of three good friends.
We have also added a story, East End Bad Boys in place of the pre-advertised Carntyne story, but will be adding that story in the next edition. This sometimes happens, we advertise the contents of the next edition then receive conflicting information and have to pull a story until we can clarify some information for accuracy.
All in all, the magazine is going great and for that we have the readers to thank. As we said in edition 1, we are not reporters or even writers we just try our best to tell it as it was, so please excuse the grammar, we are getting better.
We hope you enjoy edition four as much as you have the past three editions
