When Jenny Cavendish inherits a share in a Tuscany vineyard on the death of her step grandfather, certain members of the Morelli family are not happy. They want to sell out to one of the conglomerates, ignoring years of family tradition and culture. Jenny takes a stand against them, relying on her mother and Ricardo, her stepfather for help in running the vineyard but the stress proves too much for Jenny's mother who threatens to leave Ricardo.

They promptly depart for an Egyptian cruise in an attempt to patch up their marriage, forcing Jenny to turn to their neighbour Gino Belpaese for help. His help comes with conditions which Jenny has no choice but to accept.

From the start sparks fly in their relationship. Jenny's fierce sense of independence will not let her automatically fall in with Gino's wishes and his playboy brother Paulo's return home causes further trouble between them.

It is only when Jenny is in danger of losing everything she holds dear that she realises exactly how much Gino Belpaese means to her.
