This is a partly fictional account of the life and reign of Rameses 111 (1184-1153 BC) based closely on events from the past and supported by historical documents that have survived through time. It tells the story of one of the last truly great rulers of ancient Egypt and how he was surrounded by intrigue and magic that contributed to his untimely death but it also highlights the successes which he achieved, both in his private and public life, despite all these set-backs.
